Demetri Martin's Bio: Demetri Martin was born on May 25, 1973. He is an American comedian and actor.

Demetri Martin was born in New York City. He is the son of Lilian and Dean Martin. He studied at Yale University from where he graduated in 1995. He dropped out in final year of NY U School Of Law.

He started his career in 2001 when he appeared in the standup comedy Premium Blend. He won the Perrier Award in 2003 at the Edinburgh Film Fringe. His show appeared on television in 2004. Martin wrote for the comedians on television in 2003 a nd 2004 and in the same year 2004 he started appearing in television himself.

He was credited as a contributor of the Daily Show and also hosted his own segment named Trendspotting in 2005.

He was named the Senior Youth Correspondent in the show. He made ano ther guest appearance on the show in March 2007. He was the writer and also played a role in Clarification. He also recorded a comedy cd named These Are Jokes. Martin released these in September 2006. This also featured his friend Will Forte.

He came back to Daily Show in 2007 and also starred in a few music videos. He also appeared in the movie The Rocker and in 2007 he also appeared in the season finale of HBO Flight of the Conchords. He also hosted another television show in 2009. The show was named Important T hings With Demetri Martin. Martin also played a small role in the 2009 film named Taking Woodstock.
