Matthew Morrison's Bio: Star of stage and screen, Matthew Morrison has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

Although he has been very active and popular in musical theater on Broadway, his film and television roles had been minor and supporting until Fox cast him a s Will Schuester in their new series "Glee," which made its official debut on September 9, 2009 and became an almost instant success. Morrison stars as an optimistic high school teacher who tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high s chool’s glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential. A musical comedy-drama created by Ryan Murphy has turned into an entertainment empire, with live shows, a concert film and a collection of soundtrack releases that have s old millions. With Morrison often performing in character, he earned an audience that quickly fell in love with his vocal talents, leading to his own solo recording contract with Mercury Records. Morrison's self-titled debut album was released on May 10, 201 1.

Morrison studied musical theater, vocal performance and dance at New York University’s renowned Tisch School of the Arts. His big Broadway break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit “Hairspray.” Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in “The Light in the Piazza,” and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for “10 Million Miles.” He also starred in the Tony Winning revival of “South Pacific” at Lincoln Center Theater in New York.
