Jet Li's Bio: Jet Li began his martial arts career early in his life and won his first of five Chinese National Championship in Wushu at 11 years old. Though he was a world class martial artist, he decided to retire just a few years later at 17 years old and begin acting. His film debut was in "Shaolin Temple", a film that catapulted Li into national stardom in his home country.

Li would continue to work on movies in China while during the '80s and early '90s, but it wasn't until '94 that he landed his first role in an American film. His first role was as a bad guy in "Lethal Weapon 4". Years later, he would team up with rapper DMX and singer Aaliyah for the "Romeo and Juliet" inspired, hip hop meets martial arts film "Romeo Must Die". The film was a box office hit, earning about $100 million. The following year, Li continued his success starring in "Kiss of the Dragon" for which he was praised for the action scenes.

The upcoming years, Li would become a household name in the US as well as China starring in films like "Cradle to the Grave 2," "Unleashed", "Fearless", "War", and "The Forbidden Kingdom" in which he worked with another legendary martial arts actor, Jackie Chan.
