Gisele Bundchen's Bio: With her unique beauty and stunning runway presence, Gisele has set the fashion world ablaze like no other model in recent years. After winning the prestigious VH-1/Vogue Model of the Year award, she went on to co-host the ceremony the following year. This IMG supermodel has appeared on the cover of virtually every major global fashion magazine, and is in constant high demand with the industry’s top designers, editors and photographers. Gisele was born in the southern Brazilian village of Horizontina. She comes from a large, loving family with five sisters that she tries to visit as often as she can despite her busy schedule. Originally, Gisele was training to be a professional volleyball player. She opted for modeling instead, after she was scouted at age fourteen while on a school trip to Rio. Being very fond of animals, Gisele is rarely seen without her little Yorkshire terrier, Vida. Her instant fame has not fazed Gisele; she is still a down-to-earth and spirited individual who is friendly and warm. At the end of the day she enjoys returning home and relaxing with her pets.

Gisele has been modeling in New York since 1996 and is arguably the most popular model in the world. She can currently be seen in ads for Dior, True Religion,Stefanel, and Ebel. Gisele made her acting debut in the comdedy Taxi”, along side Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah, where she played the ringleader of a band of bank robbers. She then appeared as a catty fashion editor in “The Devil Wears Prada”, with Meryl Steep and Anne Hathaway.

Not only is Gisele an incredible model, she is also a savvy businesswoman. She is the face, and the brains behind "Ipanema", her own brand of women's foot apparel targeting the Brazilian market, and worldwide.

In her most recent project as humanitarian, Gisele serves as president of the Luz Foundation, which supports programs and organizations that help women & girls overcome obstacles and achieve success. She also designed a limited edition necklace for Harper’s Bazaar, crafted by jewelers Gumuchian Fils. This one of a kind piece was sold to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, specializing in cancer treatment. Gisele also served as the spokesperson and campaign model for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
