Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp's mother gave him a guitar when he was 12 years old beginning his career in the entertainment industry. He began by playing in numerous garage bands before deciding to drop out of high school to pursue his dreams of being a rock musician. He played with "The Kids" who opened for "Iggy Pop" but later broke up before getting signed.

He voyaged into his acting career upon the encouragement of actor, Nicholas Cage. His debut performance occurred in 1984 with the first film in the will known series "A Nightmare on Elm Street." Depp found fame in 1987 when he landed the starring role of the television series "21 Jumpstreet" as Officer Tom Hanson.  His acting career only grew from here. He received a leading role from Tim Burton in his film "Edward Scissorhands" This began a friendship and partnership that we still enjoy today. Their latest film together being "Dark Shadows" released in 2012.

Most of Johnny Depp's characters are eccentric but the genre of films he performs in are vast. He can be young and in love like in "Benny and Joon" (1993), quirky and comical like the much loved Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean" (2003), or a historical bank robber in "Public Enemies" (2009). No matter the role Johnny Depp can tackle it creatively leaving his audience with unforgettable experiences.
