1964 The Tribute

After seeing a 1964 performance by the Beatles, Louise Harrison, George Harrison's sister, was so moved that she decided to throw a party in the bands honor at her home. The performance and celebration would go on to be the focal point in naming "1964 the Tribute". The group spent years researching the famous originals, learning the groups style along with the style of instruments and accessories followed by the mannerisms, spoken voices, and the unmistakable and and legendary vocal harmonies.

The hard work has paid off as the tribute has recreated a live Beatles concert so well that it is difficult to tell the two apart both musically and visually. Most fans say that the only difference between the tribute and the original is that, due to large part in improvements in technology, the fans in the audience can hear the tribute.

1964 the Tribute has performed nearly 3000 shows since their formation in 1984 and has been called, "the best Beatles tribute ever," by Rolling Stone magazine. In addition, they were also featured in a PBS special, on Entertainment Tonight, PM Magazine, CNN, The USA Network, and The Nashville Network. The band has been nominated and awarded for numerous distinctions over the years.
